2001 Likday
Juha-Matti Aronen and Anu Haapoja, us. trad.

In Inker, it was customary to celebrate a popular carnival once a year, even for one day turning over the power relations of society. In many villages, this celebration was held during the cleaning of the laundry lime. Related to this tradition of Inker, for example, is the Saccadian Akapra-frog. At these festivities, women took the leading role, which usually belonged to men. Women organize celebrations, buy alcohol, make men as safe as women usually were.

An essential part of the Day of Celebration was playing and dancing. By these means, Katrill brings the viewer into the eyes of this old tradition, adapted to the scene. The dance is based in particular on the tradition of Western Inker, and is the Katrill Women's Celebration. There is hardly any thing for men to celebrate.
